Movie Review: Rogue (2007)

Rogue was my random selection for 31 days of horror. I am not a HUGE fan of creature movies but I’m trying to open my mind and try new types of horror this October.

Rogue is written and directed by Greg McLean of Wolf Creek fame. In fact, Mick Taylor…I mean…John Jarratt is also on the boat. It also stars Sam Worthington and Radha Mitchell. The story is quite simple. Tourists on a boat in Australia’s Northern territory go too far and enter the territory of a rather large salt water crocodile who decides they are lunch.

It was an entertaining creature feature with some good acting. The wildlife and nature scenes were stunning. It wasn’t a bad film but there were few scares and thrills for me.

The boy said it was good and gave it a 4/5 and I give it 3.5/5. That’s not a crocodile. THIS is a crocodile!

About thewytchinghourblog

I'm a horror loving librarian with the need to share reviews of everything horror, gore and spooky related. I'm an avid reader of books, mainly horror, definitely supernatural. I'm a pagan and like to define myself as an eclectic witch. Halloween/Samhain is my favourite time of year from everything pumpkin spiced, the scent of decay and the veil between worlds thinning. So, here we are to share all things blood splattered, things that go bump in the night and crawl out of the darkness.
