Weekly musings 27/09/19

My mental health has been quite bad recently. I often struggle to leave the house and have regular anxiety attacks. Friday has been a good day though, I did the school run (with my hubby) and with hubby went for a walk into town. I rewarded myself with a pumpkin latte and a vegan breakfast burrito from Starbucks. I went and did some shopping seeing as I rarely make it into town once a week if that. TK Maxx hasn’t been as prolific with the Halloween goodies as normal but photo of haul is below. I was pleased I found some pumpkin spiced coffee as I’m struggling to get some for home use.

This week I’ve been mostly watching The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell and Peaky Blinders. We’re holding onto our horror movies so we can watch one a night in October. I have quite a list to get through. American Horror Story 1984 is the Friday must watch. I am so enjoying it, the tongue in cheek horror comedy, the 80’s vibe, the gory deaths. I mean it’s no murder house or freak show but I’m enjoying it all the same. I’m feeling the Scream Queens influence in this season especially with the combination of Billy Lourds and Emma Roberts.

I’m reading N0S4A2 by Joe Hill at the moment. I am enjoying it so far. Non Fiction, I’m about to start The Ancient Magic of Trees by Gregory Michael Brewer.

This week I have been crafting autumn wreaths with needle felt embellishments.

I’ve also just received my monthly needle felt subscription box from The Makerss so have some ghosts and pumpkins to make…which I am so looking forward to. I was supposed to be going to a reflexology lecture this weekend but it’s been cancelled so I have all weekend to felt (in between the children’s demands).
