The needle felting bug has hit me and I’ve been stabbing away. There has been much blood and ouchies but it’s strangely satisfying to create something out of just wool and needles. I also find it incredibly soothing for my mental health issues and need to stim. It keeps my hands busy and it’s just magic watching these take shape (and not always what you plan to make!) I am just a newbie and can’t pretend to be able to create some of the amazing pieces I have seen from more experienced felt artists. But creating I have been and want to share some little pieces with you.
I found a tutorial on YouTube by Pam Duthie on the creation of eyeballs and had the most fun sat creating these on a rainy Saturday, while watching old movies with my son. Eyeball Tutorial by Pam Duthie . After making these I was inspired from somewhere in my crazy brain to turn them into an eyeball bouquet with flower petals and wire. I used the petal templates from Mum’s Makery rose templates (I haven’t been paid or requested to make these links just sharing and acknowledging).
Currently I am working on an autumnal wreath with autumn oak leaves and pumpkins.
