My favourite time of week is American Horror Story time and this week, I love love loved it. We went back in time to delve into the back story of just before and the after the election and the decisions people made. We found the links between the seemingly disparate characters. I’m not going to recap, watch and see.
Evan Peter’s character, Kai came alive. He was so intense, I was sat at the edge of my seat. I would have signed up for his cult. This is the point. He is bringing together people you’d never believe would be following a Trump loving cult leader. I started to question whether it was Trump he was celebrating or the concept that if Trump could win then anybody could.
I felt that peeling back the facade the other characters came to life as well. For example, I’d previously criticised Ivy and Winter but they blossomed in this episode becoming animated as their first meeting is shown.
I feel this season has more cohesion than previous seasons, everything seems neatly linked and planned. Previous seasons sometimes seem a tad over excited with multiple story lines that don’t always reach a satisfactory conclusion.
My son thought it was an amazing episode. He loved the manipulation and the politics.
I was so happy to see two Chanel’s in the same episode, even if Chanel number one didn’t last long. If you don’t known what I’m talking about watch Scream Queens!
